About Us (& Blog Guidelines)

Welcome to Money Hospital – here to help you keep your finances healthy!

Our site started as the "Moneydoctor" email newsletter in 2005.

Then since the end of 2006 we've been writing about personal money matters, first with Martin as our full-time blogger and now with a host of other contributors from time to time, including Chloe, Mark and Robyn.

In 2008 we expanded the site to include helpful & articles on mortgages, banking and insurance.

We can introduce you to an advisor for unbiased advice on mortgages, income protection, life insurance and private medical insurance.

That way you can be sure of making pounds and sense!

You can also follow us on Twitter and do feel free to get in touch and let us know what you think!

And we need your help too: we'd like you to feed back on our blog posts..

Blog Comment Guidelines:

First, we like to keep it clean here at the Money Hospital – and that goes for our blog too!  Blogs are a great place to chat and we welcome comments & feedback on our posts.  Please just remember these few guidelines:

  • The views, opinions, advice, reviews, ratings or comments on this blog are made by third parties and do not represent our views, opinions or advice and should not be relied upon by you and are not checked, monitored, verified or endorsed by us. We are not responsible or liable for any loss or damage you may suffer or incur in connection with such views, opinions, advice, reviews, ratings or comments including in relation to their accuracy, truthfulness or completeness.
  • Feel free to post things that are honest, critical and also funny
  • But please don't post anything that could be offensive, such as ethnic slurs, personal insults, obscenity etc.
  • We'd prefer not to edit or censor comments, but we'll do so with regard to anything we consider inappropriate.
  • Please think carefully about posting any claims that might be deemed libellous (i.e. anything that is untrue or anything that cannot be supported by reasonable evidence and which would do damage to a person's or business's reputation). Remember that any comments that are libellous are liable to get you sued!
  • Please do comment about the site itself – we welcome ideas, suggestions and improvements.  Or you can also email us at info@moneyhospital.co.uk
  • Do come back and visit us often…we like to hear from you
  • This blog is based on journalistic research, but it does not constitute financial advice. Any information should not be used on its own to make an important financial decision. The blog contains general information, and as such it will not be tailored to your specific circumstances. All tips are therefore followed at your own risk and should be followed up with your own research or your own independent adviser.

You will notice that sometimes there are links in the articles to various other sites, companies, services or products.  Some of these links naturally make us money but they are only ever used because we think they will be helpful and are in context. i.e. we never shoe-horn anything in that doesn't belong, just to make a quick buck!

In this way you can rely on us to be 100% impartial for your benefit.
